Trims

  • Sport: 18-inch alloy wheels, Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, 11.6-inch Multimedia monitor, Power Moonroof, Sport-tuned Suspension
  • RS: 18-inch dark gray-finish alloy wheels, All-Weather Package, Blind-Spot Detection / Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine

Choosing Trims

The Subaru Impreza hatchback is available in three well-equipped trim levels to suit your preferences. The Base trim offers great value with its generous list of standard features. Stepping up to the Sport trim adds sporty exterior accents, 18-inch alloy wheels and an 8-inch multimedia system touchscreen. For the ultimate in performance and style, the Subaru Impreza RS boasts a powerful 2.5-liter engine, sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch wheels and LED fog lights -- perfect for an exhilarating drive around Mercer Island.

No matter which trim you choose, you'll enjoy a versatile interior with up to 56 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seats folded. That's plenty of room for camping gear, sporting equipment, shopping bags and more. And with its efficient powertrain, all-weather capability and advanced safety features, the Subaru Impreza makes for an athletic commute or efficient weekend getaway.

Design

Being offered exclusively now as a hatchback, the Impreza is designed to be more practical. While the exterior is a bit simple, roof rails are available for overhead storage, and a plastic step near the rear seats helps access the roof.

Inside the Impreza, you'll find the same level of practicality. Dual-zone climate controls and 60/40 folding rear seats come standard on every model. With the rear seats down, the hatchback has an ample cargo capacity of about 56 cubic feet.

Performance

The new Impreza has two engine options, and Sammamish drivers will find the base models to be powered by a 2.0-liter flat-four engine with a continuously variable transmission. The base engine outputs 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. In the RS trim, a more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine is available. This engine provides a total output of 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque.

Subaru has given the Impreza a larger gas tank this year. Now, this model can travel 500 miles before needing to refuel. With a larger gas tank, the EPA estimates the Impreza can now get about 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway with the base engine and about 26/33 mpg in the boxer engine.

Technology

Coming standard in the Impreza is a seven-inch touchscreen display that controls the sound system, HVAC, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A larger 11.6-inch touchscreen and Subaru's Starlink multimedia system are available in higher trims. These screens have quick response times and support over-the-air software updates. Along with responsive infotainment centers, Snoqualmie shoppers will find the Impreza has a 10-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, heated front seats, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and a remote engine start.

Safety

Every Impreza model comes with Subaru's suite of advanced driver aids called EyeSight. New improvements have been made to the system, allowing it to operate more quickly and in a greater range of conditions.

Returning features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure mitigation. Snoqualmie and North Bend drivers should also notice new features, including a blind-spot warning system with an intervention assist function allowing the Impreza to avoid a forward collision under 50 mph.

In higher trims, Subaru's STARLINK™ system becomes available. This system provides SOS Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service. There is also a Remote Vehicle Locator, only offered on the RS model.
