The 2025 Subaru Legacy is Available in Bellevue, WA

When it comes to sedans, the Subaru Legacy is the flashiest. But that's okay, as it's a solid car offering plenty of cabin and cargo space, decent fuel economy, and standard all-wheel drive. What’s New?

While the new model year sees little changes to the Legacy model, Subaru has updated the Limited trim. Now, this model has a sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a driver-attention monitoring system as standard. Outside of that, the Legacy remains the same as last year.

Trims

The Subaru Legacy is available in five trim levels.

Performance

To power the Legacy, Subaru offers two engine options. In models like the Base,

Premium, and Limited, there's a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 182 horsepower and 176 lb.-ft of torque. Though by purchasing trims like the Sport and Touring XT, Issaquah drivers receive a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that outputs 260 hp and 277 lb.-ft of torque.

Each engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with all-wheel drive coming standard. As for its fuel economy, the EPA says base engines get around 27/35 mpg, while the turbocharged engine offers an estimated 24/32 mpg.

Design

From the outside, the Mercer Island residents may find the Subaru Legacy to look like your standard midsize sedan. However, the interior is much more unique as it's made from quality materials. In base models, cloth upholstery comes standard, though leather seating is available in the Limited and Touring models.

Along with comfortable seating, there's also plenty of legroom, as the front area has 42.8 inches of space, with the rear offering 39.5 inches of room. Subaru even went as far as to offer a manual thigh extension for the driver's seat should more legroom be needed.

Not only is there ample room for passengers, there's also plenty of space for cargo too. Behind the rear seats, North Bend drivers will find 15.1 cubic feet of space to hold about around eight carry-on suitcases.

Technology

To enhance a driver's experience even further, Subaru has installed the Legacy with plenty of technology. Coming standard are two seven-inch displays that use Subaru's Starlink infotainment system. However, an 11.6-inch vertically oriented screen is available for all other models. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, with in-dash navigation as optional on most models, but is standard on the Limited and Touring XT trims. There's also a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system that's available. Though the Base trim only offers four speakers, with the Premium trim having six.

Safety

To ensure driver safety when traveling the streets or trials near Snoqualmie, Subaru has installed the new Legacy with EyeSight. EyeSight is Subaru's suite of advanced driver-aids, and it includes automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering. Higher trims offer additional features, including:

    Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert
  • Evasive steering assist
  • Rear automatic braking
  • Enhanced wide-angle camera system
